In this day & age whether your business is small, medium or large, it is an absolute necessity that you have a web presence; and it’s just as important to have one that obtains the goals it sets out to achieve. For most people web design is a very daunting and complicated step to take. It comprises of colours, framework, logos, branding, the right wording and trust in your developer. It needs to have a sense of appeal, it needs to be captivating, it needs to draw an audience and it needs to be worthwhile. We need to find the keys to unlock the puzzle of getting hits and getting the ‘right’ hits from your chosen demographical audience.

Aussie Digital pride ourselves in the fact that we spend a great deal of time initially analysing what needs to be done to achieve the above. To cut out the confusion, we carry our clients through some simple steps.

1. Meet for a cuppa either at your premises, or at ours (obligation free of course) to get a look & feel for the architecture of your new site, collect your requirements, learn about what your niche is and how we can make it come to fruition. We will nut out what requirements are going to be necessary (i.e. who is the audience? What is the purpose of the site? What is the feeling you want to convey? Will the site need to be expandable in the future? Functionality of your site, mission statements, taglines & proposed deadlines. Pictures, graphics, logos, content, size of site etc). Most people already have a good idea of what it is they are trying to achieve here.

2. Schedule another appointment to obtain the bricks & mortar of the ‘house’ we are trying to build. Of course this will be a lengthier meeting, preferably at your place of work, where we can map out either on paper or the laptop, a rough outline and a simple flow-chart of your website. At this point we should have all the requirements necessary, get our brains working along the same track & sign-off to begin work. We will ask for a deposit at this stage so we can go back to the office and begin work on the composite (draft) version of your website.

3. By this point we will know exactly what you need. We go back to the office and make a composite of your site and after a few emails back & forth/changes (because there are bound to be a few) we sign-off on the comp you are happy with. Then there is a great deal of work involved in splicing up all the images, setting them into the framework and getting everything to link correctly. We will work diligently to complete the site in the shortest timeframe possible, get it up online on a test server to check browser compatibility, put in the meta-tags (so the Google ‘spiders’ can find your site) which ‘bumps’ you up the Google search engine and ensure the smooth working of your site. We have a very effective method of working in layers for your website, meaning…content changes/colours etc. can be played around with to a greater degree. Although at this point we must stipulate a maximum of 5 ‘comp’ changes, which should be more than enough to fine tune your end result.

4. Launch time! On the 3rd and final sign off, payment is made for the remainder of your quote and your site is then uploaded to your webhost. Sit back and reap the rewards of your newly established presence across the world.

5. Aussie Digital will not stop there. We also have a maintenance plan which will not cost you an arm and a leg (as many web builders charge ridiculous prices for small changes) we will support you over the years that follow…OR talk to us about the ability to manage your own site when and how you wish.
